A hand-written note from Viv Albertine. I’m a little surprised at how starstruck I feel. (Taken with instagram)

Before I die, I just want to have one picture of me that is this cool.

Anita Carter - (Love’s) Ring Of Fire
Do not get me wrong: I love the Cash version, I do.
But I love the original more.
Never heard this before. Interesting.
Sir Paul & Linda McCartney, Dolly Parton & Porter Wagoner
I look at this picture and all I can think is that I want Porter’s hair and suit.
Fear’sThe Albumwas released February 21, 1982. Here’s “New York’s Alright If You Like Saxophones” from it. (And hey: they wereSNLmusical guests without an album out long before Lana Del Rey!)
Oh man I loved Fear. When this album came out I would never have believed that I would get the chance to meet and work with Lee Ving (I did the artwork layout for Have Another Beer With Fear), much less that he would be such a nice guy.
Adriano Celentano - “Prisencolinensinainciusol”
It’s been too long since this was on my dash, and it made an important 2:30 am appearance this past weekend, so here we go.
One of my band’s songs doesn’t have a third verse yet and I’ve just been belting out phonemes. It works surprisingly well.
Lydia Lunch and the Birthday Party’s split Drunk on the Pope’s Blood EP came out February 18, 1982. Here’s the Birthday Party’s “Zoo-Music-Girl.”
Could be somebody you know.
The Fall’s landmark album Hex Enduction Hour came out February 16, 1982. Here’s “Fortress/Deer Park” from it. You have no idea how hard it is for me not to just post the whole damn album.
